The Hotel & the Tour

Hotel Tivoli and its accompanying farm-to-table restaurant The Corner is a century-old building situated in the historic town of Tivoli, New York. Owned by painters Brice and Helen Marden, the property is filled with an eclectic collection of furniture, lighting and art.

Over three days, we’ll forage for mushrooms with a local mycologist, use what we’ve found in a hands-on cooking class with award-winning Chef Anita Lo, and have a special tour of Olana, the spectacular historic home of 19th-century Hudson River School painter Frederick Church. After taking in the breathtaking views of the river and the Catskill Mountains in the distance, we’ll settle into Stissing House, a restored 18th-century tavern and inn, serving up rustic wood-fired fare. Finally, we’ll head to Rosehill Farm to pick apples and sip cider—because long weekends in the Hudson Valley are all about going home well-fed and well-rested.
