Travel to Vaux‐le‐Vicomte by car where you’ll visit the palace – a 17th Century gem.

Every Saturday evening from May 5 to October, visitors may experience the 17th century château and its Jardins a la française by the flickering lights of 2,000 candles. An enchanting and romantic evening, with a dinner served in the park that will give you a new perspective on the estate. Overnight at a wonderful Château nearby.

Sample Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive in Versailles. Louis XV and Louis XVI wished to have private quarters at Versailles where they could be free from the crowd of courtiers and live a more “normal” kingly life. During this superb tour, you will discover gems of the Rococo Louis XV's style and the neoclassical of Louis XVI's. You will also see the library where Benjamin Franklin met Louis XVI in 1778 to officialize the French support to the American Revolutionary War. Enjoy an 18th‐century style lunch in a beautiful mansion built in 1777 at five minutes walking from the palace. Isabelle a food lover, culture enthusiast and Versailles local will introduce you to the dishes and flavors that were popular at the Louis XIV’s table.
Day 1
After lunch, our chef will show you how to whip up some mouth‐watering French pastries. Vanilla mille‐feuilles, almond and chocolate opera cake, raspberry macaroons drizzled with coulis, strawberry cream cake, rum baba…chef will guide you through one of her tantalizing recipes, sharing her tips and ensuring you leave with recipes to delight your friends back home! Comfortable accommodations in a local B&B in Versailles.
Day 2
Breakfast at your studio. Today is market day in Versailles! Our chef will take you to meet her favourite suppliers. Expect a whirlwind of colors, flavors and delicious treats! At the end of your trip to the market, it's back to the kitchen where you'll have a hands-on cooking class making a classic French lunch, using the produce bought from the market.
Day 2
Visit Marie‐Antoinette's Trianon. The Petit Trianon was Marie‐Antoinette's private residence, a place where the Queen felt happy and serene, far from the rigid etiquette of the Palace. Take in the enchantingly refined, feminine and delicate decor here chosen especially for the Trianon by Marie‐Antoinette herself. At the end of the tour, you'll be invited to wander around the Queen's hamlet, Marie‐Antoinette's enthralling and bucolic secret garden.
Day 3
Breakfast and check out. End of services.
