Terms & Conditions
Costs & InclusionsAll costs are based upon the specified services in your itinerary as per the "Inclusions" section. Trip costs generally include accommodations; sightseeing with local, English-speaking guides and/or English-speaking drivers as specified in the itinerary; admission fees; meals as indicated in detailed itinerary; accommodation taxes and service charges; ground transportation; airport, train or port transfers; the full service of Tour de Forks and our associates overseas before, during and after your trip; pre-trip documents. Itemized cost breakdowns are not available. Please refer to the "Inclusions" section of your personalized itinerary for detailed information regarding which services are included in your tour cost.
Quoted tour prices are based on current rates of exchange, tariffs and taxes as of the date of your itinerary. Prices are valid for the travel dates specified in your confirmed itinerary. Tour de Forks reserves the right to increase tour prices to cover increased costs, airfares, tariffs and taxes, and to reflect fluctuations in foreign exchange markets.
Items Not IncludedUnless otherwise specified in the detailed itinerary, international flights, private air charters, airport departure taxes, gratuities, laundry, alcoholic beverages, excess luggage charges, visa fees, travel insurance, tours indicated as optional or not specified in itinerary, items of a personal nature, mini-bar charges, or any items not specifically listed as included, are not included.
Reservations, Deposits & PaymentsReservations may be made through a travel agent or by contacting Tour de Forks. A specified (by tour) deposit is required to reserve your space. Full payment is due no later than 90 days prior to departure. For tours booked within the 90 day tour start date, the full payment must be made at the time of booking. Payments may be made by personal or agency check or by Visa, MasterCard or Amex. All services and payments are non-transferrable.
Cancellations & RefundsAll cancellations and refund requests must be made in writing to our New York office. No verbal requests will be honored. Deposits are refundable less a $100 administration fee up to 90 days prior to departure, after which the deposit is non-refundable. Refunds of final payment will be honored as follows: Between 61-90 days of scheduled departure: 75% refund
Between 31-60 days of scheduled departure: 50% refund
30 days or less prior to departure: no refund
Note: Except for verifiable and unusual extenuating circumstances, no refunds will be made after the commencement of the tour. For verifiable claims for refunds to be considered, they must be received in writing within 30 days of the termination of your trip and be accompanied by supporting documentation. A change of trip date or a change of destination will be treated as a cancellation and cancellation fees will apply. PLease allow 8 weeks for administration off refunds. All disputes and claims regarding the Services shall first be resolved by way of negotation and mutual understanding. In the event such negotiation and understanding fail, the dispute will be referred jointly to mediation or arbitration in New York State. Disputes will be governed by New York law and subject to the sole jurisdiction of courts located in New York Sate. Comprehensive travel insurance (including trip delay, trip cancellation, trip interruption, and baggage) and health, accident and medical evacuation insurance are strongly recommended.
AccommodationsAccommodation classification is based on a combination of factors including price, location and quality. Prices are based on double occupancy rooms with private bath facilities. Note that in many countries king beds and non-smoking rooms are not available. Tour de Forks reserves the right to substitute comparable accommodations without notice.
Passports & VisasAll tour participants must hold a passport valid for six months from their date of arrival in any foreign country. It is the sole responsibility of the tour participant to secure a passport with sufficient blank pages for immigration and visa stamps.
BaggageAll baggage is transported at your own risk. Please check with the airlines for specific luggage allowance. All money, valuables and travel documents should be packed in a carry-on bag for which you are responsible at all times. Tour de Forks can not be responsible for loss or damage to baggage. Insurance is strongly recommended
Medical CostsWe strongly recommend that, before traveling, you review your health and other insurance to ensure you have coverage appropiate to meet your needs, and those of your family and dependents, in case of any personal injury or loss of property.
Travel InsuranceTravel insurance, medical evacuation and hospitalization costs are not included in the tour price. If you need to purchase, call us for a quote.
Alteration of ArrangementsShould events beyond our control require it, Tour de Forks reserves the right to alter or modify the itinerary without advance notice, to withdraw any tour component from your trip and/or substitute a tour component of equal standard. Any costs resulting from such modifications will be the responsibility of the tour participants. If any trip has to be delayed due to bad weather, travel conditions, flooding, flight or other transportation delays, over booking, government intervention, acts of war, acts of terrorism, sickness or any other contingency beyond the control of Tour de Forks, the additional costs of the delays and rerouting will not be included and will be the responsibility of the tour participant.
Limits on Tour de Forks ResponsibilityYour trip will be arranged by Tour de Forks ("TdF") acting only as agents for the hotels, tour companies, airlines, vehicle comapnies, railroads, ship lines, cooking schools, restaurants, producers, chefs and other vendors and their owners or contractors ("our supplier associates") providing accommodations, touring, teaching or other services included in your trip. Tour de Forks does not own or operate any entity which provides goods and services for yout trip. Instead, it arranges the goods and services from our supplier associates. All such persons or entities are independent contractors. As a result, TdF cannot be held liable for any negligent or wilful act of any such person or entity, their employees or agents or any third person.
By the acceptance of your trip and or such vouchers, coupons, receipts, and contracts, you agree you agree to the foregoing and also agree that neither TdFs nor any of their affiliates or agents, shall be or become liable or responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person, property or otherwise in connection with any accommodations, transportation, touring, or other services provided resulting directly or indirectly from any acts of God, fire, breakdown in machinery or equipment, acts of government, wars whether declared or not,, hostilities, acts of nature, animals, criminal acts, avts of terrorism, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, pilferage, loss or damage to baggage, illness, allergic reactions, disease, epidemics, quarantines, financial defaults of service providers, delays or cancellations or or changes in itinerary or schedules, or from any other causes beyond the control of TdF. Payment of tour fees shall constitute consent to all provisions of this Agreement as set forth herein.
