We Tasted the Hamptons

Our first trip proved fabulous on every front. Two cooking classes were given by Brigehampton Inn's talented and entertaining Chef de Cuisine, Arie Pavlou, preparing asparagus soup, scallop ceviche, morels, pan seared scallops, baked fruit tarts, chocolate financiers, and much more. Between cooking classes, we hugged cows and ate raw milk cheeses at the Mecox Dairy and tasted superb wines at the Wolffer Estate Winery. At our farewell dinner, Chef Arie prepared five delicious courses and we dined with winemaker Miguel Martin from the North Fork's Palmer Winery.

The weather was spectacular and we could still see the magnificent mansions before they disappear behind the hedgerows. We admired shingled windmills and the historic Montauk lighthouse, walked in the dunes, ate at seafood shacks and shopped till we dropped. Being in the Hamptons makes everyone feel more fabulous but when you're sharing that experience with friends - it's priceless! We have a few spaces left for October 19-22 and November is sold out.
