August, 2016

John Lasater, Executive Chef of Nashville’s Hattie B's, will be cooking dinner at the James Beard House, NYC this Thursday, August 11th. We can't wait to eat the "hot" chicken that John will cook up and wonder what the heat level will be? There are six levels at Hattie B's with the hottest called Shut the Cluck Up! We love heat with flavor and for this reason, we love the flavors of the Yucatán, which are built on habanero chiles, Seville oranges, achiote seeds and smoke. We dream of their tamales, pibil, ceviche and salsas. Join our culinary adventure that teaches you how to cook like a Yucateca, at a hacienda that knows how to spoil you properly. Here's more information about both of these culinary adventures:

"Hot" Nashville: October 5-8th, 2016

Clockwise: Nelson's Greenbriar Bourbon; Dolly Parton recording at Studio B;
Goo Goo Cluster; Chef John Lasater at Hattie B's.

They call Nashville the Music City, but there's so much more to Nashville than country music. It's one of the hottest culinary destinations of the moment with a slew of bright, young chefs turning out fresh takes on regional classics. There's the signature "hot chicken" -- and you'll learn how to make it in a private class taught by Chef John Lasater, the Executive Chef at Hattie B's.

On our 4 day/3 night package you'll experience it all, plus a private tour of the legendary Studio B where Elvis recorded his hits, Country Music Hall of Fame and the charming Belle Meade Plantation. You'll quench your thirst at Nelson's Greenbrier Distillery and satisfy your sweet tooth at the Goo Goo Cluster Shop, where the famous sweets are made right before your eyes. Amazin', y'all!
